Contract Document Phase
- Prepare mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design of primary system
- Designate elements to be designed by specialty engineers, and specify criteria for specialty engineers’ design of sound systems, communication systems, hydraulically calculated fire protection systems, etc., as appropriate
- Attend meetings
- Assist in coordination with building-code officials and New York State Department of Health
- Complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection calculations
- Complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection drawings
- Prepare or edit specifications for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Assist in establishing testing and inspection requirements
- Perform checking and coordination of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection documents
